A Mel fotografa, com o iPhone, a comida típica de cada sítio tendo como background um monumento ou paisagem icónica do local. A ideia começou por ela não gostar de tirar "selfies" mas não se sentir bem a pedir a um estranho para lhe tirar fotografias.

Nowadays it is filled with cute shops and cafes, while the exterior is preserved to look like old Japan! It feels like you are transported back in time when you are walking around this area, and it's common to see people dressed in Kimono or Geisha costumes. 2nd favorite #GirlEatWorld moment in 2015 is also from Australia 🇦🇺, but a completely different part of the continent - the outback! This is a glass of white wine I had during the magical Sounds of Silence dinner with the view of Uluru. My experience in the outback can't be summed up in an instagram post, so i'll have a series of blog post coming up at my blog girleatworld.net! Waking up in your tent in the middle of the night to a repetitive thumping sound and peeking outside to find out it was a group of wild wallaby passing by your campground was... quite amazing to say the least. 🇲🇴 Portuguese Egg tarts in Macau! I have been spending the past few days in Hong Kong with friends and we made a day trip to Macau today since it's only an hour by ferry. There are different types of egg tarts out there, but a Portuguese egg tart would have the slightly charred and carmelized layer of custard on the top. Very delicious. I had visited Macau a few times in the past with last trip being six years ago. I was quite surprised to see a LOT more tourists in Macau these days! Macau was a Portuguese colony until 1999, and is the first and last european colony in China. That's why you can find plenty Portuguese influence around the city. Some road signs even would have chinese and portuguese first, then english as third language. Nowadays, Macau is the world's largest gambling center. You can see most of the big casino names such as Wynn, MGM, Sands and Venetian here in Macau. The casinos are very luxurious too, even more so than those in Vegas!
